Welcoming a newborn into the world is a magical experience, and photographing those early days is an honor I cherish deeply. Recently, I had the joy of capturing the precious moments of little Muna’s newborn shoot. Her parents had a vision: serene neutrals that would let Muna take center stage without any distractions. It was a beautiful journey, and every moment spent with Muna and her family was filled with love and tranquility.
Set One: Pure White Serenity
We started with the posing table, set against a soft textured white backdrop. Muna, adorned in a delicate white headband, was the epitome of peace and innocence. Her sleepy eyes and tiny features glowed softly, making the serene white backdrop the perfect canvas for her newborn beauty. We also captured some sweet detail shots of her tiny lips and toes, showcasing the exquisite details that make every newborn so unique.
Set Two: Moon and Heart
For the second set, we moved to our moon-shaped pillow on a cream background, positioned on our dog bed used for overhead shots. Muna was also gently placed in a heart-shaped bowl, perfectly embodying the love that had captured everyone’s hearts in the room. We then posed her in our "Moses basket" with some neutral foliage from our lifestyle corner, adding a touch of nature to the serene scene. Another highlight was posing her in a bucket on our mini mat that mimics hardwood floors, creating a cozy, timeless look.
A Touch of Magic with New Props
One of my favorite sets was experimenting with some new props. We introduced a metal-framed baby bed against a floral background, sticking to our neutral palette. Wrapped in a bonnet and clutching a teddy bear, Muna looked incredibly cozy and adorable. This set perfectly captured the essence of babyhood, blending simplicity with a touch of whimsy.
Classic Comfort on the Flokati
We finished the shoot on our classic white flokati, a fan favorite in the studio. The soft, fluffy texture created a perfect, dreamy setting for Muna’s final photos. The simplicity of the flokati allowed Muna’s features and the tender moments with her family to take the spotlight.
Family Love in Every Frame
As the shoot drew to a close, Muna’s parents shared some special moments with her. We took one-on-one portraits of Mommy and Daddy with Muna, as well as some beautiful family shots. The love and bond between them were palpable, shining through every frame. It was clear that Muna was not just the center of the shoot, but the heart of their family.
Every click of the camera during Muna’s newborn shoot was a celebration of her life and the incredible love that surrounds her.
